Castleton Cottage

A Warm Wood Burning Welcome Awaits!

Activities & Information

Nearest town - Ballater 17 miles north

Noted for the most by  Royal Appointment signs on the local shops, it also boasts a replica carriage in the Old Railway Station, when Royalty travelled to the area since Queen Victoria . She would not allow the railway to go any further as it spoiled the landscape. 2018 saw this beautiful centre being re- opened(after being burned down in 2016) by Duke of Rothesay, with his very own Rothesay Rooms Restaurant in Ballater, Bookings a must.

Blairgowrie is 35miles to the south,is renowned for raspberries and strawberries, grown in and around this area. It also boasts a good sized Tesco's.
